Our NEWMAN progenitors lived in the coal-mining town of Willenhall, Staffordshire, England, which is three and one-fourth miles from the larger town of Wolverhampton.

My grandmother was a faithful journal writer throughout her life. These entries are from 1924 to 1928. She was just turning 18 and talked about boys, dancing, and movies.

Lloyd was 85 when he died in November of 1994. His daughter, Norma Le Evans, wrote this life sketch and delivered it at his funeral.

In the spring of 1970, Lynn recounted two memorable trips from Leeds, Utah, to Clay Springs, Arizona, the first, by car in a model A Ford in November 1924; the second by team and wagon in April 1925.
