My mother and father have kept these journals and biographies tucked away in boxes for years. They weren't forgotten, but were rarely taken out and read. I felt it was important for other families and other generations to see them, so I typed them into the computer from the typed or copied pages. A few I found online and included here. Russ McMullin

"Let a record be made of the men and things of today, lest they pass out of memory tomorrow and are lost. Then perpetuate them, not upon wood or stone that crumble to dust, but upon paper, chronicled in picture and in words that endure forever." -Kirtland

Oscar Lynn McMullin
autobiography

Travels between Southern Utah and Arizona

In the spring of 1970 while Lynn was hospitalized in the Veterans Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona, he recounted two memorable trips from Leeds, Utah, to Clay Springs, Arizona, the first, by car in a model A Ford in November 1924; the second by team and wagon in April 1925.

These accounts were taped by his son, Richard. It is fortunate that we have this account in his own voice, though his voice was weak from stress and pain inflicted from cancer. What is unfortunate is that we missed getting more stories, told and retold, by Lynn over the years, but not recorded before his death.
